Genova

Just a week ago I saw "Genova" . French title : "Un été italien"
That film has impressed me.

The story is about an English family (American, I think , for they tell about Chicago) . The father is a teacher, the mother is a musician, the 2 daughters are around 9 and 17. The two girls are with their mother when she is killed in a car accident. Then the father decide to go in Italy with his daughters , to start for a new life . Or to keep on ...
The film shows how the father (Colin Firth, extremely cautious and true) manages for his daughters to pass through their difficulties and to go on living their own life. He has to stand acute, generous, sensible, and gentle, and strong and courageous, and hopeful .. The girls have each a special behaviour, because of their ages. The father's worrying a lot for both of them, differently .
I found each scene very well conducted.

- It's so cute ! -
